Internal Family Systems
Informed Parts WorkDifferent parts of you think, feel, and respond in their own ways. You might notice one part of you wants to move forward, while another part feels afraid or holds you back. This can feel confusing or even frustrating. Internal Family Systems therapy helps you understand these inner experiences in a clear and compassionate way.
Understanding Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS)–Informed therapy is based on the understanding that we all have different “parts” within us, such as protective parts that try to keep us safe, and more vulnerable parts that carry emotional pain. Rather than pathologizing these experiences, this approach helps you build a compassionate, curious relationship with all aspects of yourself. Through guided exploration, clients learn to access their core Self, a place of calm, clarity, and confidence, and begin to heal old wounds, reduce inner conflict, and feel more integrated and whole.
IFS therapy can support you if you are experiencing:
Anxiety and overthinking
Emotional overwhelm
Inner conflict or self-sabotage
Low self-worth
Effects of past experiences
How It Works
In sessions, we take time to explore what is happening within you at a pace that feels comfortable. You will begin to notice and identify different parts of yourself, understand why they exist and what they need, and learn how to respond to them with more clarity and calm. Over time, this process helps reduce inner tension and allows you to feel more balanced and grounded.
What to Expect
You can expect a calm and supportive space where you are not pressured to share more than you are ready for. Sessions are guided gently, allowing you to explore your inner experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable. As the work progresses, many people begin to develop a stronger sense of self-understanding and feel more in control of their emotions and responses.
